Athenian Michalis has lived here all his life and it’s clear to see the love he has for his home city. He is an expert in great tavernas and bars in the centre of Athens. His family are cooks and food has always been a passion that he enjoys sharing!
Rachel is originally from Athens but grew up in the UK. She moved back here to fulfil her ambition to show people the Athens that she loves so much!
We are dedicated to showing you the best Athens has to offer in food. We will meander along the quiet, winding roads and bustling food and spice markets. We will introduce you to our friends who run family owned shops and traditional tavernas.

I’ve lived in Athens, Greece my whole life. Growing up around the markets I was always intrigued by the “smells” and the spices around it.
Ι always wanted to get involved with the culinary experiences and being a tour leader is the best way to communicate with the people.

My name is Sofia,
I was born and raised in Athens and also have roots in Thessaly in the middle of Greece, close to Meteora. I grew up in the kitchens of both my mother and my two grandmothers learning their recipes, secrets and stories.
Because of this, it wasn’t really strange that as I grew up, I would develop a great love for both food and the family traditions that surround it.
For Greek people, eating is more than just a daily habit. It is embedded into our culture, family and lifestyle. I have many memories of visiting the central market with my mother and helping her with the daily shopping.
Besides food, I really love traveling and meeting people from all around the world , so working as a Tour Leader combined all my passions and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.
